In today’s economy special consideration needs to be taken when selecting a distribution point to ensure only meat of the highest quality reaches the trolleys of discerning shoppers. That’s why we chose to locate our abattoir in the city of Kimberley, a mere 120 km from our feedlots. This strategic location allows Beefmaster to transport fresh red meat to any location in Southern Africa at highly affordable rates.

The abattoir, known as Beefmaster Kimberley, qualifies as a high-throughput facility with export status, and is HACCP accredited. Particular attention is paid to shelf life, which requires that extra care needs to be taken with every aspect of the operation to ensure a high quality product. 
To this end, we view employee training as one of the key factors when it comes to producing the quality of meat for which we are justifiably famous. We go to great lengths to ensure that all our staff receives the training necessary to function at the highest levels of efficiency and hygiene. And constant monitoring and inspection of all carcasses by a third party inspection authority ensure that our quality goals are achieved.
In addition to the processing of Beefmaster meat, the abattoir also provides a number of services to farmers in the district, whereby farmers in the area can sell their market-ready animals. The abattoir also has a boning and processing department which packages a variety of red meat products for several of our biggest customers.
Beefmaster Kimberley markets its own products as pre-packed or tray-ready, custom packaged product, boxed deboned products, and swinging carcasses. The abattoir specialises in providing excellent service and adhering to a customer’s individual needs where possible.
