JOB PURPOSE:
To ensure top-quality service and maintenance of agricultural equipment

The ideal candidate must meet the following:

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Qualified Diesel or Petrol Mechanic and or trade test certificates advantageous
  • General farming experience 
  • Experience in farm maintenance
  • Proven ability with:
  • cutting and welding
  • general mechanics
  • Tractors
  • Knowledge in repairing Tractor, TLB, Bakkies and ability to work on Plant Machinery
  • Strong communication skills
  • Valid driver’s licence


RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Service, repair and overhaul the mechanical parts of agricultural equipment and vehicles
  • Repair, and maintain diesel and petrol engines in a variety of vehicles.
  • Perform safety inspections, oil changes, lubrication work, basic maintenance, and minor repairs 
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repairs
  • Assist with diagnosing mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic problems.
  • Comply with all Health and Safety standards
  • Ensure the workshop and work areas are kept clean, organized, and safe.
  • Assist with other farm maintenance tasks as needed.
