December 2025 – Beefmaster Group, one of South Africa’s largest family-owned beef production companies based in Kimberley and Christiana, has officially opened applications for its 2026 academic agriculture bursary programme. The initiative forms part of the company’s long-standing commitment to developing skilled, passionate young professionals who will strengthen South Africa’s agricultural sector and food systems.
With the application deadline set for 30 December 2025, eligible final-year students are encouraged to apply as soon as possible.
Who Can Apply for the Beefmaster Agriculture Bursary?
The Beefmaster Group bursary is open to South African citizens who are currently in their final year of study and enrolled at any accredited South African tertiary institution.
Eligible fields of study include:
- BSc Agriculture (Agricultural Economics)
- BSc Agriculture (Animal Science)
- B Agriculture (Animal Production)
Applicants must demonstrate strong academic performance, commitment to agriculture, and leadership potential.

- A certified copy of a South African ID
