JOB PURPOSE:

The purpose of the Training Coordinator is to lead our employee development strategy and initiatives in line with the business goals and training budget, through planning, coordinating and communication. Develop and manage training programmes, projects, learnerships, bursaries, and individual employee’s personal development program. To carry out the functions of a skills Development Facilitator and to liaise directly with the SETA and training providers.

The ideal candidate must meet the following:

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor Degree in Human Resources Development
  • Certificate in Skills Development Facilitator (SDF) Qualification
  • Knowledge and understanding of SETA and OFO Codes
  • Previously worked with AgriSETA and or FoodBev will be added advantage.
  • At least 5 years’ experience working as a Training Coordinator or SDF
  • Good Knowledge and Understanding of Skills Development Acts (SDA, SLA, B-BBEE, EEA)
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to plan and organize training programmes and projects.
  • Computer literate (Ms Word, Ms Excel, Ms Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • Knowledge of SAGE 300 Training Module.


RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Perform needs assessment on an entire organization level and identify skills or knowledge gaps that need to be addressed.
  • Review and organize training plansÙ« design and develop training programs for the business to ensure continuity.
  • Create training schedules for all companies’ departments, track and create reports on outcomes of all training and maintain training records for the company.
  • Coordinate all the in-house and external training, and ensure bookings and logistics.
  • Train new hires on company policies and procedures (induction)
  • Ensure the administrative functions of all the internal training.
  • Promote and align the of workplace skills plan to the employment equity plan.
  • Gather and evaluate information from employees and management on previous training to identify weaknesses and areas that need additional training.
  • Source accredited training providers.
  • Inform employees and management on scheduled training and track their progress.
  • Manage the company`s internal and external bursary program.
  • Submitting an annual Workplace Skills Plan (WSP), Pivotal Plan and Annual Training Report (ATR) to ensure eligibility for mandatory and discretionary grants awarded by the SETA.
  • Monitoring implementation of the Workplace Skills Plan.
